In recent years I had the privilege to work in a variety of different commissions in as many different divisions:
- Business process consultant at a productionsite in Belgium (train and start-up local improvement-team on processes related to purchasing, warehousing, inbound & outbound logistics, supporting operations (Nov 2018- March 2019)
- Head of departement at the City of Groningen + LEAN programme manager division (= 7 departments); member of the ManagementTeam (May 2016 – March 2019)
- Member of an international leanteam at several dutch waste-recycling-companies (as part of an international improvement programme initiated by the English parentcompany together with Unipart Expert Practices; 2015-2016)
- Management Development-route of a municipality in the West of Holland (with coaching of the City Manager and one of the heads of Departmentin Lean Leadership)
- Coaching 8 managers and 8 employeeswith the Transition Access Tasks Youth Care in a municipalityin the North of Holland (beautiful integration of work floor and management!)
- Leanroute to sales of an installation company planning re-creating processes (new construction and renovation)together with the engineers, the Managing Director and his staff
- Coaching and teaching regional departments of the dutch Child Care and Protection Board (as part of the national program ‘BeterBeschermd/Anders Werken’)
- Leanroute to the decision-making process involving managers and secretaries of Facilitating Department (educational organization in the South of the Netherlands)
- Guiding several organizations in setting up their multi-annual programme in respect of Continuous Improvement (using different theories and concepts next to CI/Lean e.g. Insights/Management Drives)
- The (re)designing and improving of many operational and support processes at Municipalities, Governments, Regional water authoritiesand in the Process-and manufacturing industry, Construction, Contracting, Installation trade, Education and Healthcare
Teaching skills
Very extensive experience with giving training courses, workshops and training courses in the field of Lean/Kata to different groups of people. Also training/coaching in interviewing, DISC and communication. In addition, extensive experience as a scuba dive instructor and worked as a part-time lecturer of organizational studies at the Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden (Management, Economics and Law).
Managerial experience
Extensive experience in management positions, among other things Operational Manager a.i. at the Seal Rehabilitation and Research in Pieterburen. Interim Logistics Manager at an electronics manufacturer in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. As a Business Development Manager I have set up a number of smaller departments at a (crew)insurance company.
Most recent managerial experience: Head of departement at the City of Groningen (2016-2019).
